Selling your car: the steps

Selling your car on Cars61 takes four steps. You can stop at any point: your listing is saved as a draft and waits for you under My listings.

1. Sign in or create an account

   Select Sell Your Car in the top menu, then Start selling. If you are not signed in, you sign in with a code sent to your email. How signing in works.

2. Verify your identity (once)

   Before your first listing is reviewed, you complete a quick identity check with your driver licence or passport and a selfie. You only do this once. Verifying your identity.

3. Add your car

   Enter the car’s details, price and location, and add photos. Creating a listing.

4. Choose a package and submit

   Pick how long your ad runs and how prominent it is, pay if the package has a fee, and submit. A moderator checks the listing — usually within 24 hours — and it goes live. Packages and boosts.
