Where messages and notifications appear, and when we email you.
| Where | What arrives there |

| Messages (speech bubble) | Conversations with buyers and sellers. We email you about a new message unless you were already in that conversation in the last couple of minutes. |
| Notifications (bell) | Listing review decisions, identity check results, dealer application decisions, offers on cars you saved, test-drive updates, package and boost updates, and replies from Cars61 Support. |
A number on either icon shows how many are unread. On Notifications you can show only unread items or Mark all as read.
